Happy Christmas from Amazing Grace Spaces

On behalf of the Trustees, staff, volunteers, and residents of AGS, We would like to thank you for your continued support through 2023 and wish you a blessed and peaceful Christmas and new year.

A reminder of our missions

Amazing Grace Space’s, provide a safe place for residents who would otherwise be homeless, risk of homelessness or are vulnerable housed in unsupported temporary accommodation. Our residents receive quality affordable accommodation and a high-level of support for their individual needs. Residents are in recovery of one of or any combination of addiction drugs / alcohol and other social /or economic problems including mental health and domestic violence and debt. Within the Gwent area our project is unique offering a holistic approach.  We know have 9 safe space for ladies in our Grace to Grace Support accommodation.

Update

In January 2023 we asked Green pastures for a second property 2 2bedded flats as move on for ladies who have live in our HMO some for over 2 years.

Green Pastures struggled to purchase the property we waited 9 months before we got the property Green Pastures bought it in September 2023.

Stuart worked with volunteers of 10 weeks getting the property ready for the ladies to move in. The 4 ladies moved across from Grace house to Naomi house in November.

The ladies have settled in well. We have seen an improvement in their health and wellbeing since moving.

We have 3 ladies in Grace house with another moving in from prison in January. We are working with another lady who is interested in coming to Grace house.

By February we hope to have both houses full. We have some amazing volunteers who support staff and residents. We have a Christian counsellor who meets with residents every two weeks. We Know the importance of getting to know the ladies on their journey of recovery. Each lady is unique, and it is a privilege to build relations with them and offer excellent accommodation and support through counselling one to one and group work.  

2024 we will be praying about more accommodation as more and more families and individuals face homelessness or temporary accommodation.
